Kemer Sunset Private Yacht Tour
Catch the Mediterranean's golden hour aboard a yacht reserved for you alone
The Kemer Sunset Private Yacht Tour is a 5–6-hour evening programme that leaves G Marina in the afternoon and follows the last light of the day to Moonlight Bay. The route runs sequentially: a first swim stop at Kiriş Bay, a sea-side approach to Kiriş Cave, a second swim stop at Paradise Bay, and an anchor at Moonlight Bay facing the silhouette of the Beydağları range. Among Kemer Private Yacht Tour options, this Kemer sunset yacht tour keeps its departure flexible because the sunset itself shifts — toward 20:30 in midsummer and around 18:30 in autumn — so the start time is set per season and group, usually between 15:00–20:00 or 16:00–20:00.
The page you are reading is the alternative to the large, shared sunset boats you encounter off Kemer in the late afternoon. The yacht is reserved for your group only; no fixed timetable, no animation, no foam parties. Our job is to time the runs between coves to the season's light, hand out warm drinks and blankets as the air cools, and not miss the best photographic minutes. The fleet behind Kemer Yacht Rental ranges from 12 to 24 metres and goes out for groups of 2–40, from a honeymoon couple to a corporate evening — always one group, one yacht, whether you are looking at a Kemer sunset boat trip or a longer Kemer sunset cruise.
The Rhythm of an Evening — Hour by Hour
- 15:30 We meet you at G Marina with your VIP transfer; a welcome drink on board and a short orientation of the yacht.
- 16:00 Departure from G Marina. We move west, the Beydağları coastline running along the port-side rail.
- 16:30 Anchor at Kiriş Bay. First swim stop: 35–45 minutes for a cool-down, snorkelling and photos.
- 17:15 We approach Kiriş Cave from the sea; the yacht holds in front of the entrance and a tender or strong swimmers move closer.
- 17:45 Second stop at Paradise Bay. The chef serves the multi-course evening menu on board while a second swim is open.
- 19:00 We anchor at Moonlight Bay. As the sun closes on the horizon, coffee, tea and an optional glass of wine on deck.
- 19:30 Golden hour: the brightest 30 minutes for photography as the sun drops behind the Beydağları ridge.
- 20:00 Return to G Marina. The yacht moors at the pontoon and your transfer takes you back to the hotel.

Kemer Sunset: The Story of the Light Falling Behind the Beydağları
The Kemer coast is where the Beydağları range — an arm of the Taurus Mountains — leans closest to the sea. Sunset takes a particular character in this geography: unlike the western Mediterranean shores, the sun does not drop into the horizon but slips behind a wall of mountains. For the last half hour the light moves through orange to deep pink, then to violet and indigo, and the sea surface holds three tones at once. The popularity of the Kemer sunset cruise on the Antalya coast comes precisely from this layering of colour. Our route is the privilege of watching it from the sea rather than the shore — the Beydağları silhouette is sharpest from the deck of a yacht, four to six miles off the marina.
The Kiriş village the route passes through reads today as a small holiday settlement, but historically it sat on the ancient Phaselis–Olympos road as a fishing point and timber loading station; the foundations of the old jetty are still there. The name of Moonlight Bay comes from a more romantic source: once the sun has disappeared behind the Beydağları, the rising moon falls on the still water of this crescent-shaped cove and lays a long silver band along the shore. The bay sits inside the Olympos-Beydağları Coastal National Park, framed by pine and palm cover, which keeps the evening wind to a soft breeze — ideal conditions for anchoring, photography, and the final swim.
The name of Moonlight Bay is no accident — once the sun is behind the Beydağları, the rising moon lays a long silver band along the crescent shore.
Details You Won't Want to Miss on This Route
A sunset run carries different details from a standard daytime cove tour. The points below are seen directly from the deck or experienced during the first swim stop.
The Beydağları silhouette
The overlapping ridges of Tahtalı and Olympos peaks produce the highest contrast of the day. As the yacht moves west, the foreground coastline turns black while the mountain summits behind it glow orange.
Kiriş Bay turquoise floor
Protected by the Beydağları Coastal National Park, the bay reads almost like an aquarium underfoot. In the evening light the water sits between green and turquoise; visibility on snorkel is around 5–6 metres on the first swim.
Kiriş (Pirate) Cave
The first major cave around the peninsula; its mouth is roughly 10 metres wide and 6 metres high. The yacht holds in front of the entrance — guests can approach by tender or, if confident swimmers, by water.
Paradise Bay (Alacasu) clarity
Hard to reach by land and therefore quiet at this hour, the cove is fully calm in the late afternoon. Water temperature climbs above 25 °C in summer; the second swim and the served dinner happen here.
The Moonlight Bay crescent
True to its name, the bay forms a clean crescent inside the Olympos-Beydağları Coastal National Park. After sundown the moonlight strikes the water directly; pine cover at both ends of the cove cuts the wind.
The golden-hour window
Roughly 30 minutes before the sun reaches the horizon, the light enters its softest, richest range. The deck of the yacht — open and stable, unlike a crowded beach — needs no tripod for the best frames.

Sunset viewpointWho Is This Route For?

Captain's Practical Tips
The sun sets around 20:30 in June–July, 20:00 in August, 19:15 in September and 18:30 in October. We set the departure accordingly so the last half hour falls on Moonlight Bay. Just tell us your date at booking; the rest follows.
The golden hour, as it is called, holds the softest and most colourful light of the day. Phone in portrait mode rather than landscape, flash off, lens clean — that is most of the work.
Even in summer the air over the sea drops 4–6 degrees once the sun is down. A cotton long-sleeve or light cardigan is a real help after a swim. If you are travelling with children, bring an extra layer for them too.
If wine, beer or a particular cocktail list is confirmed at booking, it is chilled and ready when you board. Bringing your own is fine too — ice and glassware are free on board. A glass of wine in particular suits this run.
For the anchoring at Moonlight Bay — flowers, music cue, surprise menu — 48 hours' notice is enough. We brief the crew; if you want a photographer, we coordinate with an external supplier.
When Is the Best Season?
May – early June
The air has warmed, the peak crowd has not arrived. Sunset around 20:00, water at 22 °C. The quietest evenings of the season.
Late June – August
The peak of the season. Sunset shifts to 20:30; the tour runs 16:00–20:30. Water sits at 26–28 °C.
September – mid-October
The richest light of the year. Sunset moves from 19:15 to 18:30; the tour shifts to 15:00–19:00.
November – April
Air and water cool; swim stops shorten. Off-season trips run on request, with covered deck and a hot-drink menu.
The air over the sea cools noticeably in the evening — a cardigan or light jacket is the single best thing to bring. Sunset falls around 20:30 in June–July and around 18:30 in September–October, and the tour times shift with it. Alcoholic drinks are not included; you can pre-order from our list or bring your own — chilling is taken care of on board. The sharpest photographic light begins about 30 minutes before the sun reaches the horizon. Suitable for children aged 3 and above; families with babies may prefer a daytime tour given the dark return leg.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Kemer sunset private yacht tour last?
The tour runs 5–6 hours. Depending on the season's sunset, it is timed at 15:00–20:00, 16:00–20:00 or 15:00–20:30. A 4-hour shorter version is also possible on request.
How is this different from a standard Kemer sunset boat trip?
This is a private programme; the yacht is reserved for your group only. The fixed timetable, animation and foam parties of the standard shared sunset boats do not apply here. Menu, music and time spent at each stop flex to the group.
Does the tour leave from G Marina?
Yes, the departure point is G Marina, Kemer. A booking document is required at the marina security gate; if you choose the VIP transfer option, we collect you from your hotel and bring you back at the end of the evening.
Are there real swim stops, or is it only a Kemer sunset cruise?
There are two real swim stops: 35–45 minutes at Kiriş Bay and around 45 minutes at Paradise Bay. Swimming is also possible at Moonlight Bay, but the focus there is the sunset itself.
Is dinner included? What is on the menu?
A chef-prepared multi-course evening menu is included. You pre-select meat, chicken or fish; vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives are available. Seasonal fruit, salad and a dessert course are part of the menu.
Are alcoholic drinks extra?
Yes, alcoholic drinks are not included. You can pre-order wine, beer or cocktails from our list, or bring your own bottle. Ice, glassware and chilling are free on board.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, for children aged 3 and above. Because the return leg falls after dark, families with babies (0–2) and very young children with early bedtimes may prefer one of the daytime tours.
What is the price range for a private sunset cruise Kemer?
The price depends on the chosen yacht (length, equipment), group size, date and added options (alcohol package, decoration, transfer). With your date and headcount we send a firm quote within 24 hours.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The decision is made on the morning of the tour, based on the harbour master's report. If conditions are unsafe, the tour is moved free of charge to the next suitable date; if no suitable date is available, a full refund is issued. We always contact you before you head to the marina.
